MY STORY…

I am a semi-abstract landscape painter and portrait artist located just outside of Montreal, in the country-side of Saint Lazare, Quebec.

Originally from Alberta, I was inspired and raised around the landscape of the vast prairies and the Rocky Mountains. Shortly after relocating to Montreal, where my mother is originally from, I went on to receive an associates degree in Illustration and Design from Dawson College. I always thought I would return to the West, but I truly came to love the lakes as much as the mountains and pastures. I have so much appreciation for the Canadian landscape, and the opportunity to have lived on both sides of it.

Inspired by nature, my artistic practice is a response to the colors, energies, light and textures in the landscape that surrounds me. I have created a lifestyle surrounding my work, thriving on the ever changing skies, the beauty of imperfection, and the harmony of working from my barn studio (Studio Hillside) while raising my family. Through my work, I hope to evoke a connection for my viewers while representing the truest version of myself.  If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!  allison@allisonrobinstudios.com

I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say in any other way - Things I had no words for.
